Osiris, God and Lord of the Duat in Ancient Egypt, is represented in green for having died and then revived thanks to the magic of his consort the goddess Isis. Also because he was credited with a positive influence on crops and harvests. His original name is Asir in the Egyptian language, but it was popularized with the Greco-Egyptian name we know today (Osiris).
